I wasn't feeling well, and I found myself running scared to the restroom between clients and group classes all day at work.
Then, when I got home later that day, Marvin the Dog seemed to be having the same problem.
He and I spent the better part of the afternoon hunched over in the yard, me head between my knees and Marvin - well - you get the picture.
Needless to say, my blogging juices were not aflowin' last night when I sat down to write for today.
So imagine my joy when a new follower and friend, Ashley, tagged me to play along by answering the following eight questions.
Yes ma'am! In the state I'm in, that I can do!
So, the eight questions Ashley asked:
1. What is your all-time favorite movie and why?
That's a toss up for me. I adore Little Women - the recent one with Winona Ryder pre-shop-lifting escapades. I also like When Harry Met Sally. Because Meg Ryan never got more adorable than that.
2. What actress would you want to play yourself if your life was a movie?
I've been told I look like Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lopez, who really don't have anything in common other than Ben Affleck. So I'm not so sure that I believe either actress. But you know who I think reminds me of me? Not in looks but in personality? Lauren Graham, the woman who played Lorelai Gilmore in The Gilmore Girls. I adore her. She can play me any day.
3. If you put your iPod/playlist on shuffle, what are the first 5 songs that play?
Three techno songs I use when I teach spinning and two Nickel Creek songs because I love them and they soothe me.
4. What song best describes your life?
"I Will Be Here" by Stephen Curtis Chapman makes me cry every time I hear it. I walked down the aisle to it at our wedding, and it still resonates with me as a wife to my husband.
5. What is your favorite color to decorate with, to wear, in your parents house, in your friends house?
I adore chocolate brown. It's all over my house (save my black-and-white office.) I also like to wear it. It mixes well with other colors I love, like aqua, purple, green, and pink.
6. If you won a million dollars what would you do with it?
I'd pay off the last bits of our remaining student loan debt, give a chunk to a charity of our choosing, and then save the rest. Once we're out of the Navy, we're going to buy a home, and I'd love to be able to do so in cash.
7. If you could change one thing in your life right now, what would it be?
You know, I don't know if I'd change a thing.
Sure, I wish I was thinner and richer and able to wake up well-rested and refreshed on four hours sleep every night. But that's not how the cookie crumbles, at least around here.
And everything about my life has made my husband and I who we are. Some things have made us happy, and some things have made us sad, but then we learn lessons and see the bigger picture in it all. Without all of what we juggle, we wouldn't be able to rejoice in the blessings we receive quite as joyfully.
8. Where do you see yourself in three years?
As a mommy, living on another Navy base, waiting for my husband to come home from some deployment. But very happy.
