Friday night, the hubs was working, so I got to have a nice Italian dinner out with my friend Christine. We always have great conversation and laughs.
And on Saturday, I got all my grocery shopping done and found a new pair of jeans (truly a celebration for a pear-shaped girl like me!) I love casual, weekend shopping. Patrick surprised me with a gift card this weekend. It was a bonus he got for working so hard at work, and he didn't even think before handing it over to me. He knows how much I love to bargain hunt on Saturday, and it was very unselfish of him to give it to me.
Sunday was my favorite kind of Sunday. The afternoon I spent alone, as Patrick normally works most Sunday afternoons and/or evenings. The time allows me to catch up on laundry, plan some meals for the week, answer e-mails and finally make a dent in Redeeming Love.
A lot of my friends said I had to read this, and I've finally reached it in the stack of books I have waiting to be read by my bed. So far, my only complaint is the cover (it kind of looks like a cheesey romance novel, and I think people at the coffee shop this afternoon thought I was reading something a fair bit more inappropriate.) I'm really enjoying it, though.
Anyone else read this? What did you all think?
Anyways, I should have a little more time to enjoy it the rest of the evening because the hubs is bringing home Mexican for dinner tonight, so I won't have to cook! Woo hoo!
Send me any thoughts you have on the book. I'd love hear what others thought. Discussing books is one of my favorite things!
